2007 Stags’ Leap Chardonnay
The wine was aged on the lees in 100 percent French oak. Luscious aromas of white peach, orange blossom, spice and pear greet the nose, following through to flavors of green apple, lemon zest, and vanilla cream on the palate. The mid-palate is round with a creamy mouthfeel from aging on the less, and leads to a juicy finish with notes of floral, spice and fresh citrus.
2006 Stags’ Leap Cabernet Sauvignon
The blend this vintage is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Merlot.
Vivid aromas of red currant, black plum, cassis, mocha and leather introduce this wine. The palate emphasizes balance, with round supple tannins wrapped around layers of blackberry, espresso and black truffle. A lengthy finish of spiced plum, dark chocolate and roasted coffee completes this classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. |
