1996 and 1997 Limerick Lane Zinfandels
 These well-extracted, beautifully aged Zins exhibit a brilliant ruby red color and aromas of bright raspberry, plum, herbs, sandal wood and pepper spice with a hint of mocha and vanilla. Mouthwatering flavors of red raspberry, currant, plum jam and raisins are complimented by spicy pepper and herb notes, leading to a stunning finish of Zinfandel fruit -- peppery spice and warm vanilla tones that linger just long enough, then finish clean. The wines have good acidity and firm tannins, which show beautifully now and will cellar for years to come.
The wine was aged in French and Hungarian oak barrels, 35% of the barrels were new. Completely estate grown, the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered. |
